Caviar is the type of salt-cured roe prepared using the unfertilised eggs from sturgeon fish. Roe is not caviar until it is cured.

Fish roe can come from any kind of fish, but caviar should only be produced using the roe from sturgeon fish.

Caviar is usually graded according to the flavour profile, size of the grain, age or species of the fish and the color.

You can store your unopened tin of Caviar Colony in the fridge, with an optimal temperature of -2 to 2 degrees Celsius. It will last for up to six months.

There are many different ways of enjoying caviar. Of course, one of the purest ways would be directly from the tin, using a pearl spoon as metal would compromise the integrity of the product. You can also pair caviar with blini, a traditional Russian pancake.

We do not recommend freezing your tin of caviar as it will affect the quality and taste of the product.

A tin is best stored between temperatures of -2 and 2 degrees Celsius and should be consumed within 24 to 48 hours of opening.

We use mother-of-pearl spoons as metal impairs the taste of caviar.

Sources: River, Well, Running water(piped or tap water), Sea, Spring(source) For instance, the best source of water in summer are WELL and SPRING. Due to the weather temperature, these 2 sources are cooler compared with the rest. Preparing the best quality is the striking feature we have prioritized.
